Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-24

This Cookie Policy explains how Ostenso uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to make them work, remember preferences, and understand how you use them. We also use related technologies like local storage and pixels — referred to collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are required for the website to function. They handle your shopping cart, checkout, account login, and security. Set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform. You cannot opt out of these and still use the store.

Analytics

These help us understand which pages and products customers interact with so we can improve the experience. We use Shopify's built-in analytics and Google Analytics 4.

Marketing

These let us show you Ostenso ads on other websites and platforms, and measure ad performance. We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel, TikTok pixel where applicable, and Google Ads tags.

Email & customer engagement

We use Klaviyo to send our newsletter and order/shipping notifications. Klaviyo sets cookies to recognize you across sessions and personalize emails (e.g., abandoned-cart reminders).

Third parties we share cookie data with

  • Shopify — store hosting, checkout, payments
  • Klaviyo — email marketing and customer profiles
  • Meta Platforms — Facebook/Instagram pixel, conversions API
  • Google — Google Analytics 4, Google Ads
  • TikTok — TikTok pixel (when applicable)
  • Shopify Subscriptions — subscription billing cookies

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing what they do with the data they collect.

How to manage cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note: blocking all cookies will likely break the cart and checkout. Common controls:

  • Chrome → Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
  • Safari → Preferences → Privacy
  • Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security

If you're in California, the EU/UK, or another region with cookie-consent laws, you can also use the cookie banner on first visit to opt out of non-essential cookies, and update your choices anytime via the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on our homepage for at least 14 days.
